Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years of undergraduate study)
    • Students accepted without a degree may receive a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science (BSVS) from ICO in addition to their OD degree
  • Required courses and minimum semester hours:

    • Organic Chemistry (3)
    • Biology with Lab (6)
    • Microbiology with Lab (3)
    • Physics with Lab (6)
    • Calculus (3)
    • Psychology (3)
    • Social Science (3)
    • English composition/ literature (6)
    • Statistics (3)
  • Recommended courses:
    • Biochemistry, cellular biology, human anatomy, physiology, genetics, computer science, business, economics, sociology, public speaking, and additional psychology courses
