Program Information

  • MSc in Community Health and Epidemiology
    • Length: 2 years for full-time students and 4 years for part-time students
    • Must complete 5 core courses, 9 credit hours of elective courses, thesis, and participate in a professional development seminar series to graduate

Interview

  • Preferences are given to students who have two of the following:
    • Work experience in a field related to community health
    • A demonstrated academic or research record
    • Training in a health profession

Timeline

  • Master's
    • October 15 (for start in September of next year) is the deadline for completed applications for those who wish to be considered for Dal scholarships or for external funding
    • January 31 (for September start) is the deadline for completed applications
  • Ph.D.
    • September 1 (for start in September of next year) id the deadline for completed applications from those who wish to apply for scholarships
    • December 1 (for start in September of next year) is the deadline for completed applications

Tuition 2018-2019

  • Annual tuition fee for Canadian students:
    • Master's: $9,963.00
    • Doctoral: $9,606.00
  • International students are expected to pay a "differential fee" (in addition to the tuition) which is determined by the university.
